Many of the HJH students were participants in the annual Dove Festival Parade on October 28th. Students were on the football, cheerleader float, Dove Queen float, or on other family entries.
HJH 8th graders traveled to Fort Worth to watch short stories studied in class come to life on the stage. The students were able to attend the plays with the help of the Friends of Hamilton Education Foundation. Our students were very well-behaved.
Hamilton Junior High hosted a variety of events for Red Ribbon Week, thanks to the organization of Mrs. Susan Tober. Students had a guest speaker, sock day, wear red day, scare away drugs day, and had RRW bracelets.
The HJH Cross Country teams came away from the district meet with 3 District Championships. Congratulations to Coach Brandun Massingill and Coach Michelle Reed on a successful season.
Eighth grade students enrolled in Mrs. Rockie Heers' HJH Annual Class have created a newspaper with many activities of our HJH students during the first six weeks. Many students have attended extracurricular events, gathered scores and other information to make this newspaper good reading! A link to the newspaper is here below:
On Friday, October 6, 2017, Hamilton Junior High School hosted Grandparents' Day. We had over 50 guests come to eat with us or bring food for junior high students to eat. We appreciate all of the visits and hope you come again.
