Students & Teachers Create Social Contracts

Teachers and students at HJH collaborated in odd-numbered classes today to form Social Contracts as part of Capturing Kids' Hearts. A social contract is an agreement of behavior that helps a classroom become self-managing. The contract should be visited at least once a day and managed by the whole group. A successful Social Contract can create a self-managing group and help build relationships between teachers and students, and also build relationships between students. It has been proven to be a highly effect tool in the Capturing Kids' Hearts process.

HJH 8th Graders Attend Plays in Fort Worth

HJH 8th graders traveled to Fort Worth to watch short stories studied in class come to life on the stage. The students were able to attend the plays with the help of the Friends of Hamilton Education Foundation. Our students were very well-behaved.

Red Ribbon Week at HJH

Hamilton Junior High hosted a variety of events for Red Ribbon Week, thanks to the organization of Mrs. Susan Tober. Students had a guest speaker, sock day, wear red day, scare away drugs day, and had RRW bracelets.
